Today’s market has changed quite a bit the last couple of years changing from hot rods and customs to a big trend in muscle cars. Minnesota has a large car community second to California, a lot of the manufactures look at Minnesota to see what is showing up at shows and what the latest trends are. For us at Twin Cities Rod and Custom we have to keep an eye on trends to, in the last three years we have expanded the product line to cover a lot of different cars.
we added Year One Muscle Car Parts so now we can get parts for the 64-72 Buick Skylark & Olds Cutlass, 53-82 Corvettes, 55-57 Belair, 58-72 impala, 62-74 Nova, 64-72 Chevelle, Monte Carlo & El Camino, 67-81 Camaro, 67-87 C/10. For the Mopar fan we can get the Year One line covering the 66-74 Chrysler A/B/E Body cars, 1962-1974 B-Body (Charger, Road Runner, Super Bee) 70-74 Cuda and Challenger. Don't forget about the 64-73 Ford Mustang.
For the Pontiac guy they cover the GTO from 1964 - 1972 and the Firebird 67-81. We also added Legendary Interiors and PUI Interiors to cover the inside of the muscle car Market. We spent a lot of time talking to people around Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, South Dakota and Iowa trying to figure out what people wanted and what we should have on our product line.
The one that kept coming up the most was OER (Original Equipment Reproduction) these guys cover a lot of the GM Muscle Cars and Mopar Muscle cars. Every day we are out asking our customers what they would like to see on our line card, I guess this is why we have 1600 Different manufactures on our line card, it never surprises me when I think I have all of the markets covered and I find out I missed one!
